Extension Activities
College is largely involved in providing quality education to students through well-defined teaching-learning process as well as involved in sensitizing them with various issues through cocurricular and outreach activities. These activities are conducted with the neighborhood community in tune with the vision-mission statement of college using guiding principles defined in policy documents through the principle of participatory management. Various activities conducted such as Voter Awareness, Celebration of Days, Competitions, Swachhata Awareness, Health and Hygiene, Tree Plantation, Environmental Awareness, Gender Sensitization, Save Girl Campaign, Anti-Tobacco campaign, Popularization of Science, Green Chemistry, Safety at work places, etc. are mentioned below in the form report and representative photographs.
Extension activities undertaken by the college are commendable and help to maintain the learning ambience at the institute. The broad areas of such activities are organization of guest lectures, seminars, workshops, industrial visits, study tours, community services, social work, health services, blood donation camps, environmental awareness, Alumni and parent meets, student feedback, campus interviews, placements, NSS, NCC etc. The college is at the forefront in the field of sports and games. Many students have secured medals at university, state, national levels. The achievements of NCC cadets are notable and cadets have participated in RDC parade, held at New Delhi and many were selected for NIC camps. Two of our NSS cadets have stood first in National Area Flag Competition held at New Delhi during two successive years. The performance of NCC students in ‘C’ certificate during the period is encouraging. The college gives scholarships /cash prizes to students in order to encourage, motivate and appreciate their achievements in academics, sports, cultural and extension activities.
