Earn and Learn Scheme

Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil (KBP) Earn and Learn Scheme is implemented by the college in association with Board of Student’s Development (BSD), Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The main objective of the scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to an egalitarian society. Many students coming from rural area are meritorious and economically backward. They cannot afford the higher education. This scheme aims to avail the benefit to such needy and financially hard-pressed student and to develop the work culture with right amplitude. The scheme is made flexible to give work to those who demand.  This will make higher education accessible and available to the poor, meritorious and the marginalized.

Interested students need to apply for the scheme which is then scrutinized by the committee. The students enrolled under this scheme are given the work which will inculcate and enhance their skills such as office work and field work particularly typing, photocopying, cleaning and support in laboratories and library, looking after the newly planted trees, playground, cleanliness of campus etc. Each student is expected to work for 2-3 hours daily. Students working under this scheme are paid an honorarium of Rs.45 per hour. The payments are deposited in student’s bank account on monthly basis.

Due to Pandemic situation and State wide restrictions, institute could provide the limited opportunity to students to participate in the scheme in AY 2020-21 and 2021-22.  The following is the summary of the scheme for last five year reflecting the efforts of the institute towards the gender equity and equality:
